A D.C. native, Katie grew up with her eyes set on making a career in classical ballet. In her junior year of high school, she moved to Houston, Texas to train with the Houston Ballet Academy. From there she went on to dance professionally with the Milwaukee Ballet, and Alabama Ballet.
But Katie knew something was missing in her life. She had spent four years adhering to the strict direction of the ballet world and she was ITCHING not only for artist freedom but for freedom to be her bold, unapologetic self.
She made the decision to leave the ballet world behind and rekindle her love for musical theatre in New York City, where she currently resides.
You can find Katie dancing around the city, cat-calling every puppy she walks by, and being an overly enthusiastic coach at [solidcore].
